Thrope Therapy LCSW PLLC was created to support people as they face some of the most challenging times of their lives. In NYC, there is so much pressure to move through things quickly and we believe therapy can create a space for you to slow down in your week. One of our favorite parts of therapy is helping our clients create 45 minutes each week of focused attention on their own thoughts and feelings.

All about Thrope Therapy
Thrope Therapy is a private practice located in NYC founded by Lily Thrope LCSW. Before creating Thrope Therapy LCSW, Lily got her Master in Social Work from New York University. Lily started her work at the Women’s Prison Association in their family shelter located in the East Village. This is where Lily developed her foundational skills before transitioning to private practice.
Another essential aspect of therapy is unpacking the beliefs and expectations people have developed and identifying whether to own those beliefs and expectations or let them go. It is possible to let go of the “shoulds” in your life, thereby liberating yourself from emotional baggage. This process of evaluating beliefs is rewarding and healing.
